An urgent recall has been issued for a popular item of Wiggles merchandise over serious safety fears.

The iconic children’s entertainment group, which sells a wide range of children’s toys and dress-ups, has fallen foul of Product Safety Australia which has warned consumers to stop using the product immediately and keep it out of reach of children.

The government regulator has warned the group’s yellow Emma Wiggle headband poses a risk of choking, serious injury or death for young children.

Product Safety Australia also says “the button/coin batteries may not be adequately secured and may be accessible by young children”.

The recall is in effect for headbands sold after June 22, 2022.
