The former Woolworths chief executive takes the helm after Mr Jones led the entertainment company for 14 years, including its transformation from Ticketek to TEG.
Speaking about Mr Banducci’s appointment, Mr Jones said: “I am delighted to pass the baton to Brad, whose proven track record makes him the ideal leader to guide TEG into its next phase.”
“As Chairman, I look forward to working with Brad and the Team to continue to grow the Business.”
Mr Banducci resigned from Woolworths Group after a train wreck interview with the ABC, where the then-chief executive walked out of an interview discussing pricing practices.
While speaking with Four Corners reporter Angus Griggs, Mr Banducci asked for some of his comments to be removed, then walked out when he was told he was “on the record”.

“I think I’m done guys,” Mr Banducci said as he got up from his seat.
“I do this with good intent, I don’t do this with bad intent.”
Mr Banducci walked away as members of the groups PR team raced to intervene. He later returned, not acknowledging the incident again in the interview.
Weeks later, Mr Banducci informed the board that he intended to retire, stating he would leave the supermarket giant in September 2024.
“It has been a privilege to be a member of the Woolies team and one I have never taken for granted,” he said in February 2024.
Mr Banducci will commence at TEG on 31 March 2025.
