What is Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen about?

According to the Bluey Website, the game, which includes “nine adventure-filled levels”, takes place in a drawing by the star character.

“Bluey is drawing her world when Dad suddenly pinches the Gold Pen she needs to complete her story,” the website says.

“Transported into Bluey’s drawing, Mum designs the magical lands, Dad rocks up on his cool bike as self-declared King Goldie Horns, and Bingo transforms into her honk-happy alter ego — Bingoose!

“Away they go on an exciting quest to retrieve the Gold Pen – and have heaps of fun along the way.”

When the game was announced, lovers of Bluey were quick to celebrate.

“Take my money!” one fan commented.

“So exciting. Can’t wait,” wrote another.

Many fans begged for more episodes of the hit Australian-created TV show. However, those calls will likely be met with disappointment, as no new episodes are expected until after the 2027 Bluey movie release.

When will Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen be released on Google Play?

Android users will need to wait a month until Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen is released on the Google Play store, with the release date slated for January 10, 2026.

Halfbrick Studios is partnering with PM Studios to bring the game to more platforms in 2026.

“Halfbrick, in partnership with PM Studios, will also be bringing the game to PC, Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch™ 2, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026,” the Bluey website says.
