On Monday, Goodwin appeared on The Morning Show and vowed to hit the dance floor again.
“Despite being told that I probably should withdraw, I’m going to give it everything I’ve got, so I don’t quit easy,” Goodwin said.
“And the beautiful thing about this production is that they’ve got some marvellous people. They’ve got the dance doctor in Bondi, who is all over this.
“So I’m getting acupuncture, homeopathic treatment, massage. I’m swimming, I do healing meditations and listen to healing tones in my headphones.
“So, I’m absolutely going hell for leather to get as well as I can in the hope that I can be up and dancing again very soon.”
It’s rumoured Goodwin will return to the show in the third episode.
Goodwin praised her professional dance partner.
“They paired me with Andrey Gorbunov, who is a world champ dancer. He’s amazing and he’s also very patient. He’s also very strong. And he’s also just so capable.
“He would just be so patient and I’ve loved it. He got me sort of doing steps that I never, ever thought I would do. As you can see from the footage, we have laughed and laughed.”
Goodwin said her favourite dance from this competition was the Viennese Waltz.
The new season of the show boasts an exciting line-up of stars, including AFL star Ben Cousins and multiple Gold Logie-winning actress Lisa McCune.
Sonia Kruger is joined in hosting duties for the first time by Dr Chris Brown.
