David Beckham hospitalised as family drama with Brooklyn Beckham resurfaces

David Beckham is recovering in hospital following surgery, with wife Victoria Beckham sharing a supportive message alongside a photo of him lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling.
“Get well soon, Daddy,” she wrote over the image, along with a handmade friendship bracelet beaded with the words “Get Well Soon.”
The moment comes amid a reported family rift between David, 50, and his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 26, as well as daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz, 30.

Brooklyn recently posted a gushing message to Nicola, tagging her in a photo and writing “my” with a globe emoji. In a comment under the post, he added: “My absolute angel” with a heart emoji.
A few hours later, Brooklyn posted a birthday message to his grandmother, Sandra Beckham, writing: “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much,” alongside a photo of the pair — a move believed to be his first public message to family in some time.
David also shared a birthday post for his mother, including a pointed mention of Brooklyn despite rumours of tension. His caption read: “Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day Thank you for always being there for us all Love you x @sandra_beckham49 @lynnebeckhambriggs1972 @jo_jo_beckham_ @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
The younger couple also remained silent after David was finally awarded his long-anticipated knighthood — a milestone achievement in his career.
However, Brooklyn did take to Instagram Stories this week to wish Nicola’s father a happy birthday, writing simply: “Happy birthday, Nelson, we love you.”
As for David’s hospital visit, it has since been reported that he underwent secret surgery to repair a broken wrist — an injury dating back 22 years to a 2003 friendly football match against South Africa.
He was reportedly substituted early in the second half after falling awkwardly and taken to hospital. A recent x-ray allegedly revealed a screw, inserted during his original treatment, that failed to dissolve and remained embedded in his forearm.
Reflecting on the physical toll of his football career, David previously shared: “Certain parts of my body were a real mess.”
Now recovering post-surgery, David appears to be in good spirits — supported by family, even amid a complicated chapter behind the scenes.
The couple have not yet confirmed the reason for David’s hospitalisation.
