Hargitay, who has played Olivia Benson on the show for 28 seasons, shifted to a more heartfelt tone following a string of jokes.
“I am truly deeply moved and so incredibly grateful to be in a room full of people who have dedicated their lives to telling stories,” she began.

Kidman then interjected by saying: “Now, Mariska, come on, that’s mine. That’s my bit. You can’t do that.”
And it’s true — Hargitay’s emotional lines were actually taken from Kidman’s AMC cinema advert.
The 60-second commercial, released in 2021, was designed to celebrate the magic of the communal moviegoing experience and entice people back to cinemas following the pandemic.
It has since turned into a viral meme and the lines have become so recognisable among film fans that audiences often cheer or recite them when the ad plays in cinemas.
As Hargitay continued, Kidman joked again: “That is my line. That is actually my line.”
“Zip it, movie lady! It’s TV’s turn tonight!” Hargitay yelled, sending the crowd inside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre into fits of laughter.
