People close to Hugh Jackman are concerned about his health, fearing the stress of his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness and a packed work schedule are catching up to him.

Jackman’s partner Sutton Foster is reportedly “worried sick” about the Australian actor, with an inside source revealing he “hardly sleeps” or eats.

“Hugh has been running on empty for months, he’s always been the type to push himself beyond the normal limits but everyone can see he’s worn down,” the source told New Idea.

“He keeps insisting he’s fine, but the fact is he’s not taking care of himself. He hardly sleeps, he skips meals and he makes work the priority, always.

“Sutton’s begging him to start putting his health first, and she says she’s going to make him take a break, whatever it takes.”

Jackman “really struggled” to cope with backlash after his high-profile divorce from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, after the much-loved pair separated in 2023.

“(Jackman’s) reputation is everything to him, so to suddenly have all these people judging him and condemning him was horrible, it rocked him,” the insider source said.

“He hasn’t allowed himself a minute of downtime to come to grips with it, if anything he’s been working more and it’s very obvious that the total lack of self-care is catching up to him.”

Jackman is currently on a press tour for his new movie, Song Sung Blue, which is about a Neil Diamond tribute band and also stars Kate Hudson.

Two films starring Jackman, The Sheep Detectives and The Death of Robin Hood, are also in post-production and are set to be released next year.

In an interview for Song Sung Blue with Fox 5 DC, Jackman also paid tribute to the victims to the terror attack in Bondi, which targeted a Hannukah Festival at the famous beach on December 14.

“It’s just devastating, it’s my home, so it hits close to home,” Jackman said.

“This is something we are seeing all over the world, my heart is breaking about it.

“I just feel particularly for those families, those closely affected, and the community because it’s my community.”
