Harry Styles retirement fears: Music star’s cryptic post on 2027 tour sends fans into frenzy

Harry Styles has shared a cryptic post teasing an announcement for 2027 tour dates and reflected on the future, saying: “After that, I don’t know what comes next for me.”

The former One Direction star, 32, sent fans into a frenzy after sharing a cryptic post to Instagram with the caption: “2027. Tomorrow.”

The vague message was accompanied by a photo of the award-winning singer, wearing a bright red t-shirt which said: “Dancing is everything. Everything else is bullshit.”

Styles sent an email to fans revealing his upcoming announcement is about new 2027 dates for his global Together, Together tour – which had a record-breaking 12-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium during the northern summer.

“When we decided to do the 2026 tour I knew it would be special but what you turned it into was far beyond what I could have imagined,” he said in the message.

“I love playing music, I love being with all of you and being a part of the love and joy you all create together every night.

“That’s why I wanted you to be the first to know we will be adding 2027 dates, which honestly, at first I found daunting.

“Being an artist is the only life I’ve ever known really, I have been doing this since I was 16 years old, and I feel like the luckiest person in the world to still be sharing these moments with you.”

Styles shot to fame as a teenager in One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson after the group was formed on ITV singing competition The X Factor in 2010.

They went on hiatus in 2016, almost a year after Malik left, and the Worcestershire-born star launched his solo career.

Until this year, he had kept a relatively low profile since the end of his 2023 tour and recently explained this stemmed from the pressures of a life in the spotlight and needing to take a break from music.

“Tomorrow’s announcement will be the final cities of Together, Together,” Styles continued.

The star hinted about his plans for the future, and added: “After that, I don’t know what comes next for me, but I know that I’m excited to find out.

“I can’t wait for us to keep dancing with all our friends, I hope to see you there.

“Thank you for coming out to see us, and for all the love and support you’ve given me over the years.”

The post sparked a reaction on Instagram with one user commenting underneath: “I’m genuinely terrified this is his last tour”.

There were similar sentiments from other posters with another, @hildar95 asking: “harry please what did you mean by that”.

The singer is currently in New York City for a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden as part of his current tour, which was originally due to finish with dates in Australia at the end of 2026.

It follows the release of his recent album – titled Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally – which secured his third UK number one album, and produced two UK number one singles, Aperture and American Girls.
