Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey has made a shocking admission in an emotional interview following years of highly-publicised legal battles over allegations of sexual assault.

Spacey was once at the top of Hollywood, acclaimed for roles in The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, and as Frank Underwood in House of Cards.

But his career imploded in 2017 after multiple men accused him of sexual misconduct dating back decades, allegations he has consistently denied.

Now, the two-time Oscar winner has revealed he is homeless.

“I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs,” Spacey told The Telegraph.

“I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.”

He added that the financial toll of his legal battles has been “astronomical”.

“I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”

The actor’s financial troubles became public in 2024, when, in tears on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he shared that his Baltimore home was being foreclosed on to pay off “millions” in legal fees from the mounting allegations.

Spacey revealed he was unable to pay the bills he owes, and had come close to filing for bankruptcy on multiple occasions.

“There’s been a couple of times where we thought we were going to file (for bankruptcy) but we’ve managed to sort of dodge it,” he said, at the time.

Last year in the UK, the scandal-plagued actor was acquitted of nine cases of alleged sexual offences.

He was also previously cleared of sexual assault charges in a 2022 civil lawsuit in New York. However, the actor still remains a controversial figure linked with the #MeToo movement.

In May, new claims of inappropriate sexual behaviour emerged in a British documentary, Spacey Unmasked. Several men who were not involved in the 2024 UK court case accused the House of Cards star of behaving inappropriately towards them.

Spacey again denied any wrongdoing.

Despite being shunned by Hollywood, the 66-year-old actor believes he will eventually get his career back on track.

“We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work,” he told The Telegraph.

“And that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission – by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.”

He added if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call, “it will be over”.

“I will be incredibly honoured and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone and I believe it’s going to happen.”
