Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez’s Venice Wedding: Date, guest list, and details of Amazon founder’s event revealed

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are preparing for what’s shaping up to be one of the most lavish weddings in recent memory.
Two years after the Amazon founder proposed with a 30-carat diamond during a European holiday, the couple is kicking off a multi-day celebration in Venice starting June 24, according to the Associated Press.
In the days ahead of their wedding, the couple have been spotted in playful spirits celebrating Ms Sánchez’s child’s 19th birthday onboard the Amazon founder’s yacht.

Wedding plans for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez big day
While many details have been kept under wraps, the event is already being compared to the wedding of Princess Diana, with friends and family predicting a spectacle filled with A-list guests, Italian flair, and jaw-dropping opulence.
“I think it’s gonna be like a Princess Di thing,” Ms Sánchez’s brother Paul told news outlets.
“It’s going to be star-studded and fun.”
The former TV anchor has insisted she’s planning the ceremony just like any other bride.
“I have to say, I do have Pinterest,” Ms Sánchez joked during an interview appearance in November 2024.
“I am just like any other bride”.
Despite public speculation — including reports of a $600 million Aspen wedding — Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro confirmed the couple’s nuptials would take place in the historic Italian city, not Colorado.
“The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos’ wedding are completely unfounded,” the mayor said, adding that only 200 guests would attend and that the event would be carefully managed to avoid disrupting the city.
The couple has reportedly committed to sources 80 per cent of wedding provisions from local vendors.
Rosa Salva, Venice’s oldest pastry maker, is curating treats for guests, while artisan glass studio Laguna B is creating custom Murano glassware.

“It’s prestigious that a couple like this, who can go anywhere in the world, are getting married in the city,” Ms Salva told the AP.
“It’s responsible tourism.”
Though the exact wedding venue remains under wraps, speculation continues. Some reports suggest the ceremony may be held aboard Mr Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru, while others cite potential locations like San Giorgio Maggiore or Scuola Grande della Misericordia.
The couple has hired Lanza & Baucina Limited — the elite planners behind George and Amal Clooney’s 2014 wedding in Venice — to handle the event.
In a statement, the planners said they’ve worked from the outset to ensure the event respects the city, its residents, and its fragile ecosystem, employing mostly locals and aligning with local nonprofits to support the region.
As for the guest list, it’s expected to be as high-profile as their engagement parties, which included names such as Oprah Winfrey, Salma Hayek Pinault, Barbra Streisand, and Robert Patterson.
PEOPLE has confirmed that Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Karlie Kloss, and Joshua Kushner have all received invitations. Ms Sánchez’s close friends Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner may also attend, alongside Blue Origin crew members Katy Perry and Gayle King.
The couple and their guests will reportedly stay at some of Venice’s most iconic hotels, including the Aman — where the Clooneys married — as well as the Gritti Palace, St. Regis, Belmond Cipriani, and Hotel Danieli.
Guests have been asked not to bring gifts and instead make charitable donations. In return, they’ll receive goody bags featuring Murano glass and locally made pastries.
Sánchez’s wedding gown designer hasn’t been confirmed, but fashion insiders say Anna Wintour is advising the bride, with Oscar de la Renta among the frontrunners. The couple was also seen having a fitting at Dolce & Gabbana’s Milan store in March.
