JoJo Siwa, Kath Ebbs breakup: US star celebrates with Chris Hughes after Big Brother exit and Aussie dumping

JoJo Siwa and Love Island’s Chris Hughes have fans buzzing after the pop star shared snaps highlighting their close friendship, just hours after a dramatic split from Australian partner Kath Ebbs.

The 21-year-old singer and dancer was seen celebrating with the 32-year-old reality star, who had just exited the Big Brother House, celebrations that came just hours after Siwa ended her relationship with Ebbs, an Aussie actor.

Over the weekend, Siwa posted an Instagram story featuring herself, Hughes, and fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chesney Hawkes, captioning it, “The boyyyyssss!!” alongside a heart emoji.

The picture comes amid growing speculation that Siwa and Hughes’ bond may be more than just friendship.

As Hughes exited the house, he did an interview with Big Brother host Will Best, alongside Siwa, where the two discussed their “love” for each other.

Siwa explained, “We helped each other through our worst times, and we created each other’s best times”.

Hughes added, “When you love someone, you can love someone in a platonic friendship way”.

Whilst Hughes spoke, Siwa affectionately rested her head on his shoulder.

Siwa joked that Hughes still owes her massages, having been given dozens while inside the Celebrity Big Brother house and not returning the favour.

Adding fuel to romance rumours, the pair were spotted taking a walk together in a London park.

The developments come after Ebbs was seen leaving the same London hotel where Siwa was staying and later posed for selfies with fans, appearing upbeat despite the breakup.

On Saturday, Ebbs confirmed via Instagram that they had been dumped by Siwa, revealing it all went down at the show’s afterparty.

In a cryptic post, Ebbs hinted that Siwa “fell in love” with Hughes during their time on Celebrity Big Brother.

The Aussie influencer liked a fan comment reflecting on the pain of watching a partner fall for someone else in real time.

Ebbs also posted a video captioned, “Egg on me, I guess,” describing their relationship with Siwa as “love bombing,” and revealed they were told they were the love of Siwa’s life.

In the video, Ebbs shared feelings of numbness and disorientation, frustrated by the lack of clarity from Siwa.

Siwa reportedly ended the relationship, explaining there were “confused feelings” involved.

Ebbs responded on their video, “do (with) that what you will,” then elaborated that Siwa said they realised during her time in the Big Brother House that Ebbs “was not the person they wanted to spend the future with.”

Siwa finished third on Celebrity Big Brother after 19 days in the house, with Danny Beard placing second and Jack P Shepherd crowned the winner.

Throughout the show, Siwa’s closeness to Hughes sparked speculation, though both insisted their relationship was purely “platonic”.

During her time in the house, Siwa also shared her evolving understanding of her sexuality. Confiding in Beard, Siwa explained she no longer identifies strictly as a lesbian but as queer, saying, “I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q, baby!”

Fans are now convinced that Siwa’s dramatic breakup with Ebbs paves the way for a possible new romance with Hughes.
