Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry: Former Canadian PM and pop superstar spotted packing on PDA
Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have seemingly confirmed months of dating speculation after being spotted packing on the PDA while enjoying a day out on a multi-million-dollar yacht.
The pair were photographed on October 11 off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, sharing a passionate embrace in a series of viral images first published by the Daily Mail.
Perry, 40, was seen wearing a sleek black one-piece swimsuit, while Mr Trudeau, 53, appeared shirtless in denim jeans.

The sighting comes after months of speculation surrounding a possible relationship between Perry and the former political leader.
Romance rumours first surfaced in late July, when the pair were seen dining together at Le Violon, an upscale restaurant in Montreal, during one of Perry’s tour stops.
Just days later, Mr Trudeau was spotted attending Perry’s concert at the Bell Centre, where he was seen smiling and singing along to her hit songs.
Sources close to the pair told Us Weekly in September that Perry and Mr Trudeau were “quietly seeing each other” but had chosen to keep things private.
“They are still speaking and are very interested in each other,” one insider said, while another noted that the relationship wasn’t serious due to Perry’s demanding tour schedule.
Perry confirmed her split from actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025.
The A-list couple got engaged in early 2019 after dating for three years, before welcoming their now four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove in 2020.
Representatives for the couple confirmed the split in a statement shared with Page Six.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past months to focus on coparenting,” the statement read.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Mr Trudeau and his wife Sophie announced their separation after 18 years of marriage in 2023.
