Kyle Sandilands Live launched on Monday with tech issues, rants at staff, and a bizarre comment to the Premier.
The first episode of Kyle Sandilands’ new subscriber-only radio show was plagued by tech issues, rants at staff, and a bizarre comment to Premier Chris Minns.
Subscribers are paying $99 a year to listen to the Kyle Sandilands Live show, which launched on Monday to a self-professed “clunky” start.
The controversial shock jock became increasingly frustrated with his staff as the show grappled with tech issues.

“Why do you not understand how to use the microphone?”
The cameras were shaky and the microphones were fading in and out as the former KIIS radio host and his team struggled behind the scenes.
“Remember last week, when you guys were in here 24/7, testing everything? Did anyone test anything that seems to be failing today?” he asked his team.
From the background, one employee could be heard saying Kyle “doesn’t look happy”.
Subscribers were then plunged into silence just after 7am when the audio was cut for several minutes and screens froze as Sandilands’ team scrambled to rectify the issue and get back up and running.
Afterwards, Sandilands told subscribers he was “leaving the room for a second” before newsreader Brooklyn Ross asked him not to yell at the team.
“I’m not yelling,” Sandilands replied.
One of the episode’s guests was New South Wales Premier Chris Minns, who startled Sandilands when the Premier arrived during one of his rants.
“Oh, hi Premier,” he said.
“S..t, the Premier’s just arrived.”
Mr Minns and Sandilands discussed running into each other at the Blue Mountains, where Sandilands said he mistook Mr Minns for a “meth head”.
Armed with a pair of large gold scissors, Mr Minns cut the tape at the front of the studio to launch the show, but as the tech issues continued, the cameras failed to capture the moment.
The show marks Sandilands’ first solo venture which comes six months after the dramatic fall of the Kyle & Jackie O Show.
