Aussie musician Keli Holiday has been forced to cancel his show after being denied entry at the US border.

Holiday was set to perform in New York City as part of his US and Canada tour but had to cancel the show last minute.

According to a statement he posted to Instagram, Holiday was denied entry back into the US at the Canadian border.

“Hello stunnas, unfortunately I’m not going to make it to tonight’s show at Baby’s All Right in NYC,” he wrote.

The 37-year-old shared how he was “detained” at the Canadian border and “denied entry” back into the US despite having the “proper visa documentation in place.”

The star added that he is “still trying to get clarity” on the situation, and has given no information on why Canadian border force turned him away.

“I’m honestly gutted,” he continued. “I know a lot of you bought tickets and were planning to come out tonight, and I hate letting people down and to be honest really wanted to party with you all.

“Thank you for all the support and patience while I figure this out.”

Holiday ended the statement by adding that he will provide an update when he can.

The Dancing2 singer is reportedly now back in Australia, and is set to play a gig in Manly on May 14.

On Monday, Holiday posted snaps of his US and Canada tour, along with a heartfelt message to his fans.

“North America... I hope you had a good time... I hope you had a ball.”

“Thank you for having me,” he wrote. “I love you”.

Fans showed their support for the Aussie star in the comments, with one saying “America doesn’t deserve you and Australia is thrilled to have you back”.

“Missed you in NY” another added.

Holiday, whose real name is Adam Hyde, hasn’t always received love however.

Back in February, the singer and his internet star girlfriend Abbie Chatfield, detailed the raw and confronting abuse they receive in public and online.

After his song Dancing2 came in at number two in the Triple J Hottest 100 this year, Holiday revealed how the day was nearly derailed by a shocking public incident where he received verbal abuse and threats from strangers.

“The morning of the Hottest 100, I remember I went to fill up my car at the petrol station and I was filling it up and it’s right there like on Bondi Road. So, it’s like a very visible spot,” he siad.

“And then someone across the street was like, ‘Keli Holiday!’ And I was like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And they ran over and took a photo.

“And then this older woman, this lovely old woman was filling her car up next to me…then I hear this dude screaming out, You fucking-’ and says the F word again, the F slur. The homophobic slur…And there’s a car filled with these young boys and he’s got his phone out as he’s saying it. And he’s like, You! You!’ and then another dude in the car behind goes, ‘We’re gonna bash ya!’...”

Chatfield said the conversation was not just about her and Holiday but about a “noticeable shift in the acceptance of misogyny in Australia”.

“Adam’s increased presence in the media has hit a sore spot for groups of sad, hateful, sexist men who feel threatened by kindness,” she said on Instagram.

“They also hate me, of course, and want to punish anyone around me for daring to love me.”

The couple have been dating since January 2024 after they met in 2022 when Chatfield interviewed Holiday on her radio show.
