British post-punk group New Order will bring their iconic sound to Australia in March 2025, launching their tour on the west coast.

Set to perform the biggest hits from their four-decade, 10-album career, long-time local fans will have their dreams of seeing them live realised on March 5 when RAC Arena is transformed into a synth-pop laser wonderland.

“It’s an honour to be coming back to perform in one of our favourite places,” they said in a statement.

“We sadly had to cancel a Melbourne show in March 2020, as a consequence of COVID and are so happy we can come back to play again.

“We’ve always loved playing in Australia and are excited to be returning for a run of very special shows in 2025. Good things come to those who wait!”

Boasting iconic hits such as Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle, the band’s hypnotic sound left an indelible stamp on the 80s.

Selling 3.5 million albums worldwide. the electronic powerhouse celebrated 40 years of Blue Monday by sharing a reissued edition of their Substance 1987 compilation.

Rising like a phoenix from the tragic end of Joy Division — which disbanded due to the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis — the first iteration of the band was formed in 1976.

With co-founding member Peter Hook departing in the 90s, remaining members include Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman.

Aussie fans can catch New Order in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in March 2025.
