Pilot opens up on Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen getting it on and joining mile high club
A pilot has told how he once caught Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen in the throes of passion in first class – and they ignored requests to stop.
The former Virgin Atlantic employee told the Mail cabin crew intervened after spotting the pair under the covers on a flight from London to Japan.
Speaking about the 2009 scandal for the first time, he said the singers drank champagne prior to boarding and turned their first-class seats into beds before they got intimate.

It caused strain on Gallagher’s relationship with All Saints star Nicole Appleton, who he was married to at the time.
The captain said: “Over an hour into the flight I was called by a member of the cabin crew who said Lily was in bed with Liam.”
“I came out and saw the two of them under a duvet. There was a lot of movement and they weren’t reading bedtime stories to each other. It was clear what they were doing.”
He added: “A crew member initially tried to stop them but they weren’t listening, which is why they called me.
“Then a few moments later, Lily got up, went back to her seat and go out an e-cigarette.
“One of the cabin crew asked me, ‘Shall I stop her?’ but I told her, ‘She’s just f..... Liam Gallagher. Let her have a couple of puffs and she will pass out’.”
The captain denied their behaviour went unchallenged because they were stars, saying that it’s difficult to stop passengers joining the “mile high club.”
He explained: “It’s not easy to stop them. You can’t say to a passenger, ‘Stop having sex’. What if they’re not?”
Gallagher and Allen were flying to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival.
In her book, she claimed that he invited her to his hotel after the flight and they spent the night together.
However, he begged her never to reveal their fling over fears it could end his marriage to Nicole, whom he wed a year earlier.
She discovered the truth six months later and they finally separated in 2014, after it emerged that he had had an affair with journalist Liza Ghorbani and fathered a child with her.
