US rapper Rich Homie Quan’s cause of death has been revealed following his death aged 34.

The star from Atlanta, Georgia, who rose to fame more than a decade ago, died on September 5 from an accidental drug overdose.

A report released by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office on October 1 and obtained by People showed details of the overdose.

The findings indicate that several substances were present in his system at the time of death, including fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, promethazine, and THC.

The report noted that there were no signs of trauma when his body was discovered and examined.

Quan’s — real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar — death has been ruled an accident.

The rapper, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, died in Atlanta on September 5.

An autopsy was conducted the following day, with officials stating that the cause and manner of death were “pending the completion of laboratory studies and microscopic examination of tissue slides”.

According to an incident report obtained by People, Lamar’s brother revealed he woke up at 3am on the day of the rapper’s death.

He found Rich Homie Quan asleep on the kitchen floor with food in his mouth, a sight he described as “very unusual”.

Concerned, he moved his brother to the couch and police were called later that morning.

Quan had hits including the trap single Type of Way in 2013 and Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh) — which inspired a track from rapper iLoveMemphis titled Hit The Quan in 2016.

The viral song sparked a “Hit The Quan” dance craze, after the rapper popularised a series of low-stepping, arm-swinging dance movements in the music video for Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh).
