Baugh posted a clip of the pair performing the duet together which captured the change. The original lyric is: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter”.
Instead, Urban sang: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
Kidman fans flocked to Baugh’s Instagram account, leaving bitter messages for the talented musician.

“This is who he chose over Nicole Kidman,” one outraged fan wrote.
“What in the hillbilly hound dog is this ... homewrecker with a cowboy hat,” another added.
“Homewrecker,” a number of others wrote.
Baugh was forced to endure other abusive comments.
“Homewreckers either never stick around or get dumped. Which one are you?” someone else asked.
“They always cheat down, smh (shakes my head). Just keep him off the drugs,” another added, referring to Urban’s past public battles with addiction.
The young star has kept a dignified silence and not offered any clarification about her relationship with Urban. She has instead remained focused on promoting her music with Urban, after joining him on the road last year.
Kidman and Urban share two teenage children, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The actress is not seeking child support from Urban, with the wealthy pair both listing their gross individual incomes as “exceeding $100,000 a month”, according to the documents obtained by TMZ.
Nicole will be considered the “primary” parent for the girls. Keith is listed as having parenting time from Saturday 10am to Sunday, 6pm, every other weekend.
Urban has reportedly already moved out of the multimillion-dollar family home in Nashville. Nicole is staying there with her child and her sister Antonia, with whom she is known to share a close relationship.
A source told Daily Mail US: “Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour.
“It’s like they both went their separate ways. Now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.”
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, 63, from 1990 to 2001. They adopted two children during their union.
The Australian actress tied the knot with Urban at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in the grounds of St Patrick’s Estate, Manly, in Sydney, back in 2006.
The couple first met at G’Day LA, a Hollywood event promoting Australia, in January 2005, and began dating six months later.
