‘Trash news’: Pink denies reports she has split from husband Carey Hart after 20 years of marriage
The frustrated singer has addressed reports that she and former motocross star husband have broken up.

Pop star Pink has denied widespread reports that she has split from her husband of nearly 20 years, motocross star Carey Hart.
The 46-year-old singer and the 50-year-old former professional motocross racer share two children, daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, 9.
A visibly frustrated Pink called the reports “trash news” in a video posted to social media hours after the news broke on Friday.

“Thankyou People magazine, thank you US Weekly. Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering if you would also like to tell our children, my 14 year-old and nine-year-old are also unaware.
“Or, do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files. Do you want to talk about systemic racism, or misogyny in sports or how classy the women’s hockey team is, or how eight of the 12 medals won at the Olympics this year for the US were won by women. Or, do you want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock ‘n’ Roll mother f****n Hall of Fame.
“Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or do you want to talk about my supposed demise?
“So, fake news, not true, f***en hate that term. I love you all, go with God. And trash news, you can do better.”
Pink and Hart first met in 2001 and endured an on-and-off romance before Hart proposed in 2005. They married in Costa Rica in January 2006.
The pair split in 2008 but remained amicable, with Hart appearing in Pink’s So What music video, which is a track inspired by their breakup.

They later reconciled and called off their divorce in 2009.
“We’re rebuilding,” Hart told People that April.
“Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward.”

Over the years, both have spoken candidly about the realities of long-term relationships. In 2021, Pink reflected on the work required to maintain their marriage.
“Long-term relationships are not easy. It is much easier to stay in the solid days and jump from relationship to relationship, because then you don’t have to fix the problems that keep recurring. You have to end up fixing yourself; you can’t fix the other person. So it can be challenging, and there’s good days and there’s bad days,” she told People.

At the time, she added, “I think it’s an impossible expectation for you to think that you’re going to evolve at exactly the same pace as another person in exactly the same direction. So it takes work to redefine what’s important. I don’t want to break up my family. That’s been my main goal, since I had a broken family. Sometimes you have to let it go. You can’t die on every mountain.”
In 2023, Pink again spoke about their dynamic, saying, “He and I are independent to a fault. That’s probably why we’ve stayed together so long, because we can live completely separately and then be together. We don’t need each other. We choose each other.”
