Aussie singer Jessica Mauboy secretly welcomed daughter Mia in January
Aussie singer Jessica Mauboy secretly gave birth to her first child two months ago.
The 35-year-old revealed she and her husband Themeli Magriplis welcomed a daughter named Mia on January 13.
Mauboy opened up about the “rollercoaster” of motherhood in an interview with Stellar.

“I look at her and it’s ‘whoa!’ because I see myself, that little frown.
“I’m not sure I want her to have my personality, because it’s rough and it’s tough … She’s constantly changing every day, another little roll, another crease.”
The former Australian Idol star said she kept the birth of little Mia private so she could savour the precious moments with her newborn before having the eyes of the public on her.
Mauboy also kept her pregnancy journey very private, only publicly confirming the news on stage during a concert at Crown Melbourne when she was five months along.
Mauboy and Magripilis, both born and raised in Darwin, began a long-distance relationship in 2009 after she moved to Sydney before the release of her debut album Been Waiting.
After seven years of long-distance dating, Magripilis relocated to Sydney and the pair went on to tie the knot in 2022.
The pair wed in a small church ceremony in Darwin and celebrated with around 300 guests at an evening reception held on the lawn at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort.
