Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcome third child as they share newborn’s unique name
Rihanna has announced the birth of her third child.
The Barbados-born singer, 37, made the announcement on Instagram, with the infant a third child for herself and partner, A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna announced it was a baby girl, named Rocki Irish Mayers, to honour the bub’s father, and was born on September 13.

Rocki’s middle name is thought to honour Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty, who was born of African, Irish, English and Scottish descent.
The pop star looked sensational as she cradled the newborn in the Instagram photo, wearing glam pink bows on both arms. Rocki sported adorable lace-frilled socks.
Rihanna famously announced her second pregnancy during her Superbowl performance at the halftime show in February 2023, which saw her debut her baby bump for the first time.
That August, she gave birth to son Riot Rose. She gave birth to their first son, RZA, in May, 2022.
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers, recently told Elle magazine he thought the pair would be blessed with a girl.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he said.
“Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
He went on: “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her third child at this year’s MET Gala in May.
Rocky said at the time: “It feels amazing, you know. It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up.
“And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy.”
Despite being very private, Rihanna and Rocky were friends for years before becoming a couple.
Rihanna split from her boyfriend of three years Hassan Jameel in 2020, before dating Rocky in 2021.
“We’re best friends with a baby. We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship,” Rihanna told British Vogue, of their relationship.
“Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
