A woman in her 30s has been arrested over the incident.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson has confirmed to local media that officers responded to reports of gunfire about 1.22pm local time and the woman was quickly taken into custody.

They allege the woman fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15 style rifle. Four of those rounds hit the house, New York Post reports.

No motive for the attack has been made public.

Streets around the singer’s property have been closed as police investigate.

More to come.
