Robert Irwin could be paid up to $3 million AUD for this years’ series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here amid whispers he could be snatched up by US television shows.

“Industry sources” revealed to New Idea that Robert, who turned 22 last month, has had his worth skyrocket after winning the US version of Dancing With The Stars at the end of last year.

“That’s genuinely the ballpark he’s playing in now,” the industry source told New Idea.

“A lot of American shows approaching him are hovering around that figure.”

However, the insider says that while the monumental offers from US production companies are tempting to the young star, I’m A Celeb’s producers are willing to “work around Robert’s jam-packed schedule” and that he feels “at home” on set.

“He’s made it very clear the door isn’t closed,” the insider said.

“He just loves the franchise. He knows how special it is. . .He’d happily talk about coming back.”

The news comes after Robert brought his DWTS mirrorball trophy, that he won with seasoned dance partner Witney Carson, home to Australia Zoo yesterday.

In a video posted on Instagram on Friday, Robert is seen showing the trophy to a range of animals including a sulphur-crested cockatoo, a large snake, and a koala.

“Had to show my friends what I’ve been up to,” the video is captioned.

Robert’s beloved older sister Bindi also makes an appearance, wielding her own DWTS mirrorball trophy that she won in 2015, a decade before her little brother graced the dancefloor.

Bindi’s daughter, Grace Warrior, was also pictured inspecting the trophies belonging to her mother and uncle.

“❤️🥹 So happy,” Bindi commented on the video.

“All your friends look super proud!,” Robert’s mother Terri Irwin commented.

“This is amazing,” fellow DWTS competitor and internet personality Alix Earle wrote.

The 12th season of I’m a Celeb, which Robert will host alongside comedian Julia Morris, will begin on January 18.
