Saavanah Bourke: Seven reporter goes viral after viewers have same reaction to TV appearance

Channel 7 news reporter Saavana Bourke has gone viral after viewers noticed her impressive arm definition while reporting in Queensland.

Health and fitness influencer Aaron Cooper was one of the first to make the observation, sharing his reaction to the reporter’s TV cross and suggesting she may be in the wrong line of work.

“With the utmost respect of course, but what the f... are you doing in the gym to grow shoulders and arms like that?” he said in a clip shared to social media.

“You’ve absolutely nailed the Channel 7 news reporter voice, but I think you’re in the wrong industry.

“As a fitness coach myself, you’ve got to get into fitness coaching — I would listen to whatever you have to say and stop doing whatever I’m doing. I will listen to you.

“Sincerely, every bloke in Australia.”

Followers rushed to the comments, lauding Ms Bourke’s dedication to fitness with her career as a journalist.

“Having those guns out with the cops around is a bold move 💪,” one person said,.

Another commented: “I love when fit ppl have non-fitness jobs — spread the fitness everywhere 🔥”.

However, quick to speak for the reporter was Ms Bourke’s mother, who provide clarity on her fitness background.

“That’s my daughter ❤️ Saav has trained hard most of her life. Up to 30 hrs a week in gymnastics before Saav retired. Then gym. Pool, ect ❤️”, she wrote.

Sunrise presenter Katie Brown then went a step further and tagged the reporter’s fitness coaching business, confirming that she did in fact offer advice to those keen to improve their strength and conditioning.

“Why not get a girl who can do both… enter @saavfit ❤️🙌” she wrote, met with a heart and teary eyed emojis from the reporter herself.

Ms Bourke is a Channel 7 news reporter on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
