A ‘selfish’ mother has come under heavy fire online after sharing a video of her going to the gym with her 5-month-old baby.
Angela Holm, shared a time stamped video of her heading to the gym for a workout with her infant daughter in tow earlier this month, with the caption: “Postpartum gym night with my baby.”
The mother-of-five from Utah is known for frequently sharing lifestyle and family-related content, but faced backlash from her latest ‘bizarre’ video montage.

“She started crying, so she’s going to join me now,” the text on the clip reads, before the mother starts walking on a treadmill with her daughter strapped to her chest in a carrier just after 9pm.
The baby is then seen drifting off to sleep while her mother continues her fitness session.
People online have since branded the mother’s behaviour as “dangerous” and “selfish,” with the post garnering over three million views and thousands of comments from concerned parents and puzzled fans.

Hundreds of people have asked why the mumfluencer could not have gone for a walk outside during the day, instead of using a treadmill so late in the evening, with one person asking: “What’s wrong with taking a walk to the park – people just like to make life awkward.”
“Why not jog outside? No gym required,” another person asked.
“All you did was walk on a treadmill which you could have done outside in the fresh air and sunshine vitamin D with your baby in the daytime,” one user added.
Not everyone has been critical of the clip, with some users online choosing to praise the mother for her behaviour: “Can we give this mum credit for taking care of her mental health and body, while bringing her baby with her?” one person said.
“All the people hating are just jealous. They make excuses you put in the effort that’s why they are mad – none of those people care more about your baby, your mental health and physical health than you do,” another wrote.
