After eagerly waiting for the new season of The White Lotus to premiere, fans have been left outraged, venting on social media over one change that has ‘ruined’ the viewing experience.
The White Lotus reached peak popularity with viewers during season two, set in Italy.
As episodes dropped weekly, fans of the hit HBO series not only looked forward to seeing what would happen next in its unpredictable storylines but also to dancing to the wild season two theme song.

However, The White Lotus season three features a new theme song.
It is important to note that season two’s track was different than season one, however, it could be likened to a club remix of the first season, not a new opener altogether.
Who wrote The White Lotus season three theme song?
The controversial new opening track is titled Enlightenment and was created by Cristobal Tapia De Veer.
As the show premiered on Monday, and fans prepared to dance around their lounge room, they were met with disappointment when they heard the new opening.
“Not them changing The White Lotus theme song,” one user vented on X.
“THEY CHANGED THE WHITE LOTUS THEME SONG??? GTFO,” another wrote in all caps outrage.
“White Lotus changing the theme song.. very disappointing,” added a third.
Although the social media community were collectively outraged, some still gave credit to the new season.
“The first episode of White Lotus season 3 was so good it makes up for the fact that they ruined my favourite theme song. Is there still time to change that? I miss the little ceremonial dance we would all do before each episode. It was our ritual,” one viewer said.
For comparison, this was season two’s opening Renaissance.
