New details about the breakdown of the former power couple’s 13-year marriage have emerged in a biography about the NFL legend.
Brady, 49, and Bündchen, 46, married in 2009 and announced their divorce in October 2022 after months of speculation about trouble in their relationship.

The quarterback reportedly told coach Clyde Christensen he needed to deal with “personal things” before disappearing from camp for 11 days.
His absence apparently left those around the team unsure whether he would return.
One assistant coach recalled that Brady himself appeared uncertain about what was happening, while the team did not know whether they would see him back at camp, according to excerpts reported by the Daily Mail.
When Brady eventually returned, Christensen reportedly noticed a dramatic change in the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
He described the football star as an “empty shell”, saying the joy appeared to have disappeared and everything had become hard work.
The biography claims tensions between Brady and Bündchen had been building for years as the quarterback continued extending his extraordinary NFL career.
Bündchen reportedly wanted her husband to retire following the New England Patriots’ 2017 Super Bowl victory, but Brady was not ready to walk away from the sport.
A year later, after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Brazilian supermodel reportedly raised her concerns again in a letter.
According to Anderson, Bündchen told Brady their marriage was not working and that she needed more of his time, attention and emotional presence.
The book also makes a surprising claim about the final stages of their relationship.
An insider told Anderson that Bündchen, who has publicly discussed her interest in astrology, eventually concluded the couple were “not compatible” after looking to astrology.
Brady and Bündchen confirmed in October 2022 that they had finalised their divorce, with the NFL great saying at the time the decision had been reached amicably.
The pair share two children, Benjamin and Vivian, while Brady also has son Jack with former partner Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen has since married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, with the couple welcoming a son together.
Brady, meanwhile, has been romantically linked to model Irina Shayk and social media personality Alix Earle.
