The series is from Australian animation company Flying Bark Productions, which is based out of Sydney.

In the sneak peek video for the new season, viewers were transported way back to November 12, 1983, six days after Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was first taken to the Upside Down.
In the video, Will is seen cowering in a dark corner of the other world, singing The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’ to himself before a terrifying Demogorgon stages an attack, chasing him through a forest and up a gnarled, old tree.
The show’s main villain, Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) is then seen approaching Will, who is trapped by vines, whispering the lines, “At long last, we can begin,” before using a vine to attach to Will’s mouth to connect with the unconscious boy.
As he struggles to breathe, Vecna says the final menacing lines: “You and I, we’re going to do such beautiful things together,” before the scene fades to those famous opening credits.
The first look has fans speculating online that everything that has happened to the central characters in the long-running show has been by Vecna’s design the whole time — a terrifying thought.
When the final season premieres, viewers will be back in Hawkins, 18 months on from the events that took place in season four.
The government has placed the town under military quarantine, and as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches “so does a familiar dread,” an official synopsis reads.
“The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before,” it says.
“To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
Stranger Things 5 premieres Thursday November 27 on Netflix.
