Sonia Kruger has addressed recent speculation that she is considering a career move overseas.
Sonia Kruger says she would be “crazy not to” consider moving overseas if the right TV opportunities came about in the future.
The 60-year-old beloved Australian TV presenter set the record straight about recent speculation that she was thinking about moving her career to the US or the UK.
“I think you’d be crazy not to,” she told Something To Talk About podcast host Sarrah Le Marquand on Sunday.

“I’d love to do a couple of guest judging spots on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK or in America, should it ever come up.”
It comes after Kruger was not nominated for a Gold Logie for the first time in five years. She won the Gold Logie in 2023 and is a four-time nominee in the category.
However, Kruger was not disappointed, saying it was about time another high-profile TV personality was recognised for their work.
“If I can just say this … I can’t believe that [co-host of Seven Network’s breakfast show Sunrise] Natalie Barr has not been nominated,” she said.
“I was so ready to mount a campaign for Nat. She has worked so long. She’s been so successful.
“As far as me not being nominated, it is kind of a relief in that I know I can enjoy myself on the night. So I just plan to get lit.”
Kruger said she is also enjoying getting to spend more time with her 11-year-old daughter Maggie, whom she shares with long-term partner Craig McPherson.
She said Maggie is following in her footsteps by taking up a passion for dancing.
“Every time I see her dance, I have tears in my eyes because she tries so hard,” she said.
“It brings me joy and I’m proud of her because she loves it.
“It blows me away to see her doing her thing.”
There are also rumours The Voice Australia host could be heading to the jungle for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, which will air on Seven in 2027.
Details about hosts, filming location and celebrity contestants are yet to be announced but speculation has included Kruger, Dr Chris Brown and members of the Sunrise team.
