Star Trek star Patti Yasutake dies aged 70
Star Trek star Patti Yasutake has died, aged 70.
Yasutake, who also featured in the Netflix cult hit Beef, died on Monday, following a long battle with cancer, according to publication, Deadline.
Yasutake portrayed nurse Alyssa Ogawa in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Generations and also in the feature film Star Trek: First Contact.

The Los Angeles native was raised in Gardena and Inglewood. She undertook an honours in theatre degree from UCLA, before starting her acting career.
The actress made her major film debut in Ron Howard’s 1986 comedy Gung Go, which follows a Japanese wife trying to assimilate into American society.
For her work, she received a number of accolades, including an Independent Spirit Award, for the 1988 movie The Wash.
Her resume also includes the films Drop Dead Gorgeous, Blind Spot, and Galveston.
“Patti was my first client when I began over 30 years ago,” her manager Kyle Fritz said.
“We enjoyed every day we got to work together, and I will miss her spirit, talent and tenacity, but most of all her friendship.”
