Zac Affleck breaks silence after The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star wife files for divorce

Zac Affleck has broken his silence after his wife and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, Jennifer Affleck, filed for divorce.

Jen, 27, filed for divorce in the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, Utah, according to court documents obtained by ABC News on Wednesday.

She is currently pregnant with the pair’s fourth child, and they share three other children, Nora, Luca and Penelope.

Zac, 30, broke his silence about the situation on Friday after their seven-year relationship breakdown made headlines this week, saying he will “always be Jen’s supporter”.

“Hope she is happy in this next phase of life,” he told People in a brief statement.

“Just focusing on my kids and figuring out what’s next for me.”

A source told People on Wednesday that Zac was “doing okay” after Jen’s filing.

“He and Jen are staying focused on preparing for the baby and supporting their kids,” the source added.

As news of the divorce broke, Jen took to Instagram to wish Nora a happy birthday, saying: “I can’t believe she’s already five”.

Zac also shared his own birthday tribute to the pair’s eldest, sharing a photo of his “baby girl” with the “biggest heart” who “makes everything feel a little extra magical”.

The pair first met in 2018 through the Mormon dating app Mutual, got engaged in early 2019 and tied the knot in June of that year.

Throughout their five seasons on the hit Hulu reality series, fans got an inside look into several moments their relationship headed into troubled waters.

The pair briefly separated following season one of TSLOMW and their split was a major plotline featured in season two of the show.

While they were separated, Jen discovered she was pregnant with their third child and they continued to appear on seasons three to five as a reconciled couple.

Jen is set to appear in the Mormon Wives spin-off, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County which premieres on Hulu on November 12.
