Major recall on MCoBeauty product sold at Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse over ‘mandatory safety’ warning
A popular beauty product sold at major retailers including Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse has been recalled after failing to meet “mandatory safety” standards.
The MCoBeauty Lip Lights Lip Gloss was recalled by the product safety watchdog for failing to comply with the “mandatory standards for products containing button or coin batteries”.
Product Safety Australia found three batches of the lip gloss — which have a built-in light and mirror for application — had batteries that were “not adequately secured and are accessible to young children”.

“Consumers may not be aware that the product contains a button battery.”

They are advised to contact MCoBeauty, where they will be asked to send a photograph of the batch code and MCoBeauty will send a replacement of Lip Lights to the customer.
