After a 3-year hiatus, fan favourite KFC menu item, Hot Rods, will be back on the menu in Australian stores on Tuesday.

Originally launched in 2007, and temporarily reintroduced in 2021, the popular snack’s return has been long awaited.

Customers can get their hands on the two-piece snack for $4.95, or the discounted price of $2.95 when purchased using the KFC app.

For those with a bigger hunger to satisfy, the Hot Rod Combo — which includes two Hot Rods, aioli sauce, chips and a drink — is available for just $8.95.

Another option on offer is the $4.95 Fill Up ft. Hot Rods which includes one Hot Rod, one Original Tender, chips, aioli, potato and gravy, and a dinner roll.

South Australian fans of the fried chicken item will, unfortunately, miss out, but another surprise menu item will take its place.

The Hot Rods will be available from Tuesday, April 16 to Monday, May 13 at participating KFC restaurants Australia-wide.
