Egg has been found in the 490g jars of MasterFoods Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Cooking Sauce, a product that is not meant to contain the allergen, and which does not declare it on the label.

A nationwide recall for the popular sauce sold at Coles, Woolworths, IGA, and other independent supermarkets, has been issued by parent company Mars Australia.

“Consumers who have an egg allergy or intolerance should not consume this product,” the recall said.
