McCain pizzas containing metal recalled from Coles, Woolworths, IGA and Aldi nationally
Two varieties of frozen pizzas from McCain have been recalled from supermarkets nationwide.
Metal was found in batches of the family-sized Ham and Pineapple flavoured pizzas, and in batches of the family-sized BBQ Chicken and Pineapple pizzas., according to a recall notice issued on Friday
“Food products containing metal may cause illness or injury if consumed,” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said in the notice.

The affected 500g products can be identified by the best before dates displayed on the packaging.
The Ham and Pineapple Family Pizza 500g will have “Best Before APR 2025 097” displayed on the box.
The BBQ Chicken and Pineapple Family Pizza 500g will have “Best Before APR 2025 097” or “APR 2025 098” displayed on the box.
The products were sold at Woolworths and independent retailers, including IGA, nationally.
They were also sold at Coles and Aldi stores in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, NT and WA, and at Drakes stores in QLD and SA.
“Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the recall said.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
