Pork buns sold in-store and online in several states have been recalled due to the presence of multiple undeclared allergens.

Birchan Pty Ltd, which operates Vic’s Meat, is recalling its BBQ Kurobuta Pork Buns 480g.

The impacted product has been available for sale in Vic’s Meat stores in NSW and online in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC and SA.

It has a best before date of either 5/12/2024 or 19/02/2025.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), the product contains the allergens gluten, egg and milk which have not been declared.

“Any consumers who have a gluten, egg or milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” the food safety regulator said.

Customers who are allergic to gluten, egg or milk should not consume this product and instead should return it to its place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” FSANZ said.
