The data science student, aged in his 20s, scored the life-changing windfall after purchasing a $12.35 ticket for the FutureBall draw.
The lucky purchase has landed the New South Wales man with a cool six-digit sum to the tune of $1 million.

The new-found millionaire’s epic haul has marked a historic moment for FutureBall as the game’s first winner, four weeks after it was launched.
The young winner was in disbelief when he received the call from lottery officials who informed him of the astonishing news.
“Oh my god, really?! Oh my goodness! Am I the only one to win that prize?” he asked The Lottery Office officials.
“When I think about my future now, I feel grateful and relieved. It was a life-changing moment.
