Reclusive billionaire Angela Bennett has listed her stunning West Perth penthouse for sale after stepping down from the boardrooms of seven mining companies.
ASIC records show Ms Bennett ended her role as company director on June 26, leaving sons Todd and Paul in control. The change includes some companies she has led since the 1990s, such as Angela Wright Pty Ltd.
The move has prompted speculation the 80-year-old has retired after an astonishing year, in which the family fortune soared from $3.5 billion to $8.5b.

Sightings of Ms Bennett are so rare she is regarded as the night parrot of Australia’s rich list, but now her private sanctuary has been laid bare in an online listing.

She is seeking offers of about $15m for her four bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse spread over 510sqm of internal space across two floors.
It features a six-car garage in the basement which is connected via a lift.
The home has floor-to-ceiling glass frames which overlook the Swan River, the Perth city skyline and Kings Park.

The formal lounge is described as a “magnificent centrepiece” which flows on to sweeping marble balcony. Rich timber panelling feature strongly throughout the house.
While Ms Bennett has let little slip about her private life during her decade’s in the public eye, but her home reveals plenty of space for rest and relaxation.
It includes a pool table, bar and casual dining zone, as well as a heated pool with a waterfall edge that overlooks some of Perth’s most stunning skyscrapers.

It’s only minutes from Perth’s CBD and with one of the world’s biggest inner-city parks in the backyard, it offers the best of both worlds.

Ms Bennett has ceased her directorship of three companies she has directed since the 1990s - Angela Wright Pty Ltd, Angela Finance Pty Ltd and Peter Wright Pty Ltd, as well as AM Bennett Pty Ltd, but has maintained shares in all four companies, as well as the family’s flagship AMB Holdings.

June 26 also marked her final day as director of Benedictus PTC Limited - a commercial property fund, mining service BFC Consolidated and BF System Pty Ltd.
