Reclusive billionaire Angela Bennett has listed her stunning West Perth penthouse for sale after stepping down from the boardrooms of seven mining companies.

ASIC records show Ms Bennett ended her role as company director on June 26, leaving sons Todd and Paul in control. The change includes some companies she has led since the 1990s, such as Angela Wright Pty Ltd.

The move has prompted speculation the 80-year-old has retired after an astonishing year, in which the family fortune soared from $3.5 billion to $8.5b.
