One lucky Aussie has won close to $250,000 after taking home division two in Thursday night’s Lotto draw.

While no one took home the division one prize of $4 million, 21 people pocketed nearly $15,000.

The Powerball prize will now jackpot to a whopping $12 million next week.

The numbers needed to win tonight’s Powerball were 5, 8, 9, 12, 18, 33, 34 and 6.

Last week, one Aussie took out the entire $40 million Powerball, making them the country’s newest multi-millionaire.

Another 27 division two winning tickets were sold across the country, with each fortunate ticketholder pocketing a huge $26,016.

More than 100 division three tickets were also sold, with each winner taking home $8,161.
