Aston Martin Vanquish recalled over safety fears

Aston Martin is recalling its current Vanquish sports car in Australia, due to a software problem that could impact braking performance.
“A software error may cause the vacuum pump to malfunction. As a result, braking assistance could be reduced, requiring greater pedal force and potentially increasing the vehicle’s stopping distance,” said Aston Martin Lagonda in its national product safety recall notice.
“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
