In the lead-up to the season, several players have been making moves in the property world too.

Angus Crichton

Crichton recently announced he will play for the NSW Waratahs and Wallabies in 2027, meaning this season will likely be his last in the NRL.

Cotality records show the Sydney Roosters player recently snapped up a Queens Park home for $4.44 million.

Crichton's new home features four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a car spot.

"Behind its understated 1900s facade lies a refined and functional family retreat, thoughtfully updated to balance classic proportions with contemporary comfort," the property's marketing states.

The NSW back rower has previously been busy tackling the property market.

Just a couple of weeks after Crichton married Chloe Esegbona at the glamorous Krinklewood Estate, Crichton last year sold his Rose Bay semi for $635,000 above expectations.

The three-bedroom house fetched $3.135 million under the hammer.

Cotality records show Crichton bought the property for $2.18 million in 2018, during his stint with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, and as of 2024 had been collecting $1650 per week in rent.

The purchase was secured off-market, and was Crichton's first home.

Parramatta Eels playmaker Moses and wife Bri have listed their Ryde home with a $3 million to $3.3 million price guide.

They were asking between $3.35 million and $3.45 million when the home was previously listed in 2023, having paid $2.8 million in 2021 before undertaking a renovation.

'Karoola' has three bedrooms, and formal and informal living areas.

Moses pulled up the deck, which the former owners had laid over the swimming pool.

There is a fourth bedroom in a separate studio adjoining the garage.

According to Cotality records, the home is due to be auctioned on February 28.

They initially listed the Ryde home in 2023 when they bought in a Hunters Hill property for $4.05 million.

But that house has since been demolished, being replaced by an ARCM Design home with a sculptural raw concrete facade. The works are reportedly nearing completion.

Moses has been playing in the property game since 2020.

In that year he put down $1.8 million on a four-bedroom home in Gladesville and rented it out for $1100 a week.

The savvy investor secured approval for a duplex development of two four-bedroom homes and then made a healthy profit selling the development ready site for $3.45 million.

The utility back is a Queensland and Australian representative and joined the St George Illawarra Dragons from the North Queensland Cowboys in 2025.

Valentine and Natalia Holmes recently listed their North Ward, Queensland home a year after relocating to Sydney.

The home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and parking for three cars.

'David House' sits on a 1518 square metre block and features a wraparound verandah, timber floors and high ceilings.

The property has an asking price of offers over $1.998 million.

Valentine and First Base gym co-owner Natalia bought the home in 2023 for $1.405 million.

The couple rented out the home after Valentine inked a three-year deal with the Dragons.

Zac Lomax

Lomax, whose immediate playing future remains in limbo, made a significant property purchase in late 2025.

He bought a three-bedroom home at Barrack Point for $4 million.

Cotality records show the home was sold after 58 days on the market.

The now former Eels outside back was granted an immediate release from the club last year to "pursue opportunities outside the NRL".

The former Dragons star had been linked with a lucrative move to the rebel rugby union competition R360.

Delays in that competition's launch has paved the way for Lomax's expected return to the NRL.

However, his planned move to the Melbourne Storm has hit a hurdle.

The Eels have taken legal action after Lomax quit the club just one year into a four-year deal.

As part of their release, the Eels included a clause that Lomax couldn't sign with another NRL club for the duration of his contract period - until the end of 2028 - without their written permission.
