Former triathlete Ingi Doyle lists luxury lakeside home

After suffering a life-threatening ruptured aorta in 2021, well-known, former triathlete Ingi Doyle knows all too well just how precious life is.
It is this knowing that has led Doyle and her partner to put the stunning Sunshine Coast house they have called home for the past five years on the market.
The couple bought the north-facing, four bedroom, waterfront home at 4 Buruwang Street, Birtinya, in 2020 for $1.1 million, records show.

"They're going to downsize, and they're wanting to travel more and get the most out of life," Cowie explains.

"Their children are also older now, so they don't need such a big home, as much as they love it," she says.
Since moving into the two-storey waterfront home, which was designed by Christopher Design Architects and expertly built by Terry Bevis Homes, the pair have added their own touches to the expansive 370sqm residence.

"They added the stunning spiral staircase, which has become a really cool feature of the home, and they also added all of those exterior elements, such as the Olympic-grade pool, spa and the sunken firepit perfect for those cooler winter nights," she adds.
"Because of Ingi's fitness background, she sees the home as a bit of a wellness retreat, with the water views, the pool, spa and sauna. The home really reflects that active, healthy lifestyle that they value."

A newly added steam room offers the opportunity to relax while enjoying uninterrupted lake views. While easy lake access makes it perfect for paddle-boarding, kayaking or simply soaking up the serene outlook.
Cowie adds that the location and entertaining areas are also highlights of the light-filled home, which boasts soaring 2.7-metre ceilings to create a sense of space and luxury.
Surrounding the outdoor pool and spa is an extensive and private entertaining deck featuring the sunken gas fire pit and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, ideal for hosting guests year-round.
"The private aspect of the home and the outdoor entertaining area really are special," Cowie says.
"Ingi likes to call it a hidden gem because you've got these incredible, north-facing water views but it is set back from the public walkway so it's really quite private, with only the one neighbour on one side," she says.
The well thought out home features a contemporary kitchen and open plan living upstairs, and four luxury bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den and flexible indoor/outdoor entertainment spaces, downstairs.
Cowie says buyer interest in the home has been so strong that the private sale campaign has been converted to an auction.
"Because it is such a unique property and it is hard to find anything similar to compare it to, I ended up recommending we take it to auction," she says.
The auction will be held on site on Saturday, July 26 at 3pm.
