A balancing act

It’s a balancing act, juggling the demands of elite athletics with the excitement of homeownership. Yet, Biles seems to handle it all with the same grace and determination that has defined her career.

While the home is still under construction, Biles hasn’t shied away from sharing the challenges of building from scratch.

In November, she revealed a stressful “trim walk” that required the help of her Dad and husband. But despite the hurdles, the couple’s excitement for their future home is clear.

Documenting the journey on social media

The 27-year-old gymnast and her NFL star husband, Jonathan Owens, have been documenting the construction journey of their massive abode on social media since September 2023.

Biles’ latest Instagram Stories offer a fresh look at the progress, showcasing wooden framing, beautiful staircases and soaring ceilings.

Navigating a house build, long distance relationship and an Olympic dream

Biles and Owens started dating at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and tied the knot April 22, 2023. They were in a long-distance relationship since shortly after their wedding in Cabo, Mexico.

Since then, they’ve navigated a long-distance relationship, but that hasn’t stopped Biles from sharing the challenges and excitement of building their dream home from scratch. In November, she revealed a stressful “trim walk” that required the help of her Dad and husband.
