Known for his design-savvy interiors, this isn't Sivan's only property that has sparked interest.

In 2021, the star gave Architectural Digest a tour of his Melbourne home designed by David Flack.

Built in 1869 and intended as a handball court, the building was converted in a brick factory in 1950 and then reimagined as a home in 1970 by architect John Mockridge.

Sivan purchased the Carlton home in June 2020 for $3.276 million, after moving back from the US during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with AD, Flack said of the renovation "It seems like we didn't really do that much, when in fact there was a lot of heavy lifting. Simplicity is hard to achieve.

"It was important to both of us that you can still feel the origins of the house despite the work we put in."

Sivan was particularly keen to incorporate a Californian sensibility into the Melbourne home, two styles that he believes have a connection.

"There's a strong affinity between Melbourne and L.A. in terms of climate and architecture. That strain of classic California midcentury modernism has been a big influence," Sivan told AD.
