An Austinmer home boasting eye-catching features, including indoor and outdoor swings, has hit the market.
The property, at 2A Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Austinmer, has a price guide of $4.5 million.
The five-bedroom abode spans three levels and sits on 707 square metres, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, plus, stunning ocean views.

One of the home’s most unique features is swings — one on the front verandah, and another inside the house.
They were included at the request of the owners, who are of Indian descent. The traditional swing, also known as a “jhula” in India, is commonly associated with leisure, relaxation and social gatherings. In India, they are most common in higher-end homes and in villages.
Selling agent, Vanessa Denison-Pender from McGrath Thirroul said this feature had proven popular with prospective buyers.
“They sit on it and watch the news, instead of a lounge or a seat,” she said of the owners.
“A lot of buyers seem to like it - especially their kids.
“The kids who have come along with their parents have loved it. They say, ‘Daddy, let’s buy this house, it’s got a swing’. It’s a culturally diverse house.”
CoreLogic records show the property last sold in November 2002 for $790,000. The current owners bought the block of land and built the current house.
Mrs Denison-Pender said there had mostly been local interest in the property, as well as from some Sydney-based buyers.
“What is also great about this house is all the bedrooms are huge, and they all have access to the upstairs balconies... There are large bedrooms, balcony access, and beautiful ocean views from every room,” she said.
Mrs Denison-Pender said the owners were selling the home in order to downsize.
“It’s directly opposite the beach, and it’s a well-built, well-appointed home,” she said.
“To buy that land again would be $2 million if not more, and to build that current home again is at least $2 million in the current climate.”
According to CoreLogic, currently, the median sales price of houses in Austinmer is $2.41 million.
If the home achieves its guide, it will be the latest in a series of significant sales in Wollongong’s northern suburbs.
A Thirroul home with an eye-catching array of features smashed the sale price record for the popular northern suburb.
Selling agent, Kane Downie from One Agency said he couldn’t disclose the sale price. However, industry sources have told the Mercury that it sold for $8.1 million.
Other recent sales in the region have included 16 Haig Street, Wombarra for a reported $6.2 million.
Meanwhile, a beachfront property at Woonona fetched more than $4 million in an off-market sale.
The property at 16 Kurraba Road sold for $4.2 million.
