According to Cotality records, the Gerroa property was sold after 31 days on the market.

The three-bedroom beach shack sits on 904 square metres, and offers views across Seven Mile Beach to Coolangatta Mountain.

Cotality records indicate Wright bought the home in February 2016 for $1.035 million.

Selling agent, Kate Cummins from Ray White Kiama, who previously described the home as a "a fairly original beach shack" had declined to comment on the identity of the owner when contacted by the Mercury.

It was previously revealed that the home had a price guide in the low $2 million range.

The property's marketing indicated there is plenty of scope to renovate, rebuild or explore duplex potential [subject to council approval].

The home also features timber floorboards, a modern kitchen, and a retro bathroom.

According to Cotality, currently the median house value in Gerroa is $1,962,606.

Two-time world champion Wright isn't the only professional surfer with an affinity for Gerroa.

In 2022, former world No.1 surfer and Olympian Sally Fitzgibbons unveiled her recently renovated beach home.

'Highline House' is perched on the Gerroa headland.

Fitzgibbons, who was born and bred in Gerroa, worked with her builder and friend, Simon Rees, to reimagine the original weatherboard beach shack.

"This project became my anchor and why I love the Gerroa headland so dearly," Fitzgibbons said at the time.

"My builder Simon and I love nature so much and let it guide us through the project, capturing the essence and beauty of the view through many portals, viewing windows, balcony spaces and garden settings."

These days, the home encompasses a main bedroom and ensuite, guest bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/dining, a separate living room, study nook, private gym and swimming pool.
