The Critic's Choice Awards, held in early January, are the forerunners to the Golden Globes and Academy Awards, in the high profile Hollywood awards season.
While the duo have both seen their careers rise internationally, both Australians have purchased and kept secluded properties in lesser known parts of rural NSW and Victoria.

While Byron Bay may be the NSW holiday town of choice for Hollywood big names including Australians Chris and Liam Hemsworth.
For LA-based Elordi, who is currently being heralded for his role in Frankenstein and has had great success with Wuthering Heights and Saltburn, the quieter Byron hinterland was the choice for his property.

In 2020 he opted for a $2 million property at Goonengerry about 25 km inland from the coast.
While the seven-bedroom home is hidden from neighbours down a quiet country road, there are clear views to the coast including Byron's famous lighthouse.
The 28-year-old actor also got a good deal. The property was first listed in February 2020 with a price guide of $2.4 million.

But The Kissing Booth star snapped it up in June of that year for $2 million according to Cotality data.
Home prices in the Byron region have also boomed since COVID, with the property which features a main residence and secondary cottage, purchased at the beginning of the boom.
Sarah Snook, who has also seen her star rise including in this awards season, is another who has opted for a more secluded regional property over something more high profile.
For the Succession star, it was the purchase of a modest mud-brick home on secluded acreage in Mount Macedon.

She bought the home, her second purchase in the area, for a reported $1.76 million in 2021.
The renovated family home sits on 13ha of a large bushy block complete with dams and a treehouse.
The house itself is a three-bedroom mud brick residence with living areas featuring soaring ceilings and views to the surrounding native bushland.

It is just one of the well -known Australian actor's property assets. In Australia she also owns a house in the Melbourne suburb of Footscray.
More recently she has purchased a $US1.38 million apartment in New York's Brooklyn.
The purchase of the new apartment was made in 2023, according to a report in the New York Post, in the suburb of Williamsburg.
