A street on the South Coast of NSW and its impressive views have gone viral on social media, bringing further attention to the strip - including from house hunters.

Last year, Visit NSW posted a ten-second TikTok video of Tasman Drive, Gerringong and asked, "did we just find the prettiest street in NSW?"

The video of the street, which gives visitors panoramic views over Werri Beach, has resulted in a flurry of similar videos from other users.

Meanwhile, some media reports have suggested it could be the "most gorgeous street in Australia, let alone NSW".

However, has all of this buzz made the street more popular among home buyers, or impacted home prices?

Prices within the suburb have gone up. According to Cotality, the median house value in Gerringong was $1,655,353 in December 2024, and $1,796,515 in May 2025.

The most recent sale in the street was 21 Tasman Drive, which sold for $4.275 million in November 2024. This home also holds the sale price record for the street.

Angie Ritchie from First National Coast and Country said she didn't believe this social media buzz had resulted in a major impact on the street's property market, but likely had an indirect effect throughout the suburb.

She said it was a "blue-chip, high-end" street that was likely out of reach to many buyers, but visitors had nonetheless fallen in love with the area.

"The area in general, it's been interesting to see so many new people coming into town [to visit]," she said.

"I think it's brought more interest to the town, more visitors, and made them realise how beautiful it is.

"Those people perhaps aren't looking at Tasman Drive as an option [to buy], but they're possibly looking around the area and thinking it might be a place they'd like to move to.

"It may not be completely related, but we've certainly had an influx of buyers in the past six weeks or so.

"And there's been a lot more people in town, particularly up on the headland and on Tasman Drive, taking their photos."

Chanelle Rosebrock from @realty said the social media campaign had definitely created more interest among visitors to the area, and greater awareness of the town outside the region.

"It's definitely the place to be, I just think people are gravitating towards Gerringong," she said.

"Is it a result of that campaign? I don't know for certain, but it's true - it's the most beautiful one. Every single time I go up or down that street, there are tourists taking photos."

The ongoing buzz surrounding Gerringong may indeed be creating greater interest in the town's new property listings.

The home at 32 Fern Street, Gerringong is on the market with a guide of $1.28 million to $1.38 million.

The three-bedroom home sits on 556 square metres. Still in their original condition, the bathroom and kitchen offer retro appeal, and there's a fully-fenced backyard.

The selling agent, Ms Rosebrock said the property, likely in need of some TLC, had attracted interest from Sydney buyers seeking a project, developers wanting to knock it down and build a duplex, and some locals.

"I've only been live for a week on this listing, and I've had more Sydney callers than local callers," she said.
