South Australian island gem: A ‘one-of-a-kind’ waterfront haven that you can moor your own boat inside

The ultimate home for boat lovers has hit the market.

Cantilevered over the water, this property on Hindmarsh Island - about an hour from Adelaide allows owners to dock a boat right underneath the house.

The sale of Willawong is being managed by Kathleen Fry from Ouwens Casserly Real Estate, who calls the property “one-of-a-kind”.

“It’s one of the most prestigious waterfront properties that we have on Hindmarsh Island,” said Fry. “The main house is a masterpiece where you can drive your boat straight in underneath, which is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

The property has a price guide of $6.5 to $7 million.

“Apparently it can’t be done again either, so it’s a one-off. It’s very unique.”

“They do a lot of travel with their boat and they love how they can just come home and pull up at the home itself and drive straight in underneath the home,” said Fry.
