This marks the 14th year that the holiday rental website has named its top properties from across the country.

According to Stayz Travel Expert, Sarah King, the Holiday Homes of the Year list aims “to inspire travellers to book their next group getaway.”

“The homes on this year’s list reflect incredible guest ratings, experienced and dedicated hosts, and stunning spaces that offer some of the most requested amenities on Stayz from private pools to fire pits,” she said.

The homes were selected from the 50,000 properties available on the site. Winning homes were chosen based on guest ratings of 9.8 and above, impressive amenities, positive reviews on the site and whether the hosts have premier status.

As explained by Stayz, Premier Host status is achieved through an invite-only program “that recognises owners and managers who consistently deliver great traveller experiences”.

Vice President of Partner Success, Tim Rosolio, said hosts play a significant role in making “a traveller’s holiday one to remember”.

“Premier Hosts in particular are known to go above and beyond to offer exceptional, reliable and relaxing guest experiences,” he said. “With our rigorous Premier Host badging, we’re sending a clear and compelling trust signal to travellers about where to find the best and consistent experiences on Stayz.”

The top ten properties have average nightly average rates of $600 to $1500, and are located in some of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations, including Queensland’s Gold Coast, Kangaroo Valley in New South Wales, and Western Australia’s Margaret River.

One exceptional property on the list was the Hamptons Hinterland Retreat, located on the Gold Coast.

The luxury home sleeps up to 14 guests and features a swimming pool, outdoor entertaining area, cubby house and a 1.7 hectare block to explore.

Over in South Australia, is Frogwell Hollow, a charming English cottage-style home in the countryside that sleeps six guests.
